are they false teeth?

valiumredhead · 19/12/2012 16:35

www.snaponsmile.com

that link wouldn't work for me so did another one

valiumredhead · 19/12/2012 16:36

They call them flippers in the pagent industry and make them for all the gappy toothed kids Grin

JingleBellsAllTheWay · 19/12/2012 16:37

I want one. Xmas Grin

FunnysFuckingFreezing · 19/12/2012 16:39

they look so very natural...........

JingleBellsAllTheWay · 19/12/2012 16:43

My natural teeth look so very awful. Got to be cheaper that cosmetic dentistry and it won't damage tooth structure.

OP posts:
valiumredhead · 19/12/2012 16:43

But the photos are airbrushed like crazy so doubt they look natural in RL...

JingleBellsAllTheWay · 19/12/2012 16:47

Oh darn it! You're probably right. I thought I had found the perfect solution to disguise my crooked teeth. It would probably feel wierd wearing a snaponsmile too. Oh well back to wishful thinking. Xmas Hmm

I've looked at the video and seriously would want a trial before I commited myself. Even in the promo video they look fake. One man looks like he has rabbits teeth

ElectricMonk · 19/12/2012 17:11

Apparently there's a much cheaper alternative by a company called Imako, if you want to give it a shot - it's on Google, and they cost about $40, but you have to order from the US I think.

PukeCatcher · 19/12/2012 17:26

My DH is going to start making these (he is a dental professional and has his own business making gumshields, night guards, retainers and the like).

He's waiting for the samples to arrive and I'm going to be his guinea pig. I'll let you know if I look like this after Grin

MariahScarey · 19/12/2012 17:35

oh that is interesting. if htey are really thin they could be ok

valiumredhead · 19/12/2012 17:38

Oooooooo interesting!

Willdoitinaminute · 19/12/2012 17:44

Looks a bit like the doggy dentures advert! They look so unnatural most people will think you are wearing false teeth.

ElectricMonk · 19/12/2012 18:00

PukeCatcher - When he does, please may you PM me the details of his business? I'm always interested in recommendations of places to get my retainers made (orthodontist charges silly amounts, and I can't find the details of the £30 dental lab I used by post last time).

PukeCatcher · 19/12/2012 20:15

Will do ElectricMonk, can't click on your name though so you might have to change your settings a bit.

noddyholder · 19/12/2012 20:58

Good lord hideous is not the word. Teeth like that never look natural. The dental equivalent of scouse brow

MoomieAndFreddie · 19/12/2012 21:29

surely it would be like wearing those fake teeth you get in christmas crackers Confused

:o

ElectricMonk · 19/12/2012 21:46

Oops, thanks for pointing that out, PukeCatcher - I'll work out how to change it this evening!

JingleBellsAllTheWay · 19/12/2012 23:02

PukeCatcher please update at a later stage as would love to know your opinion and thoughts after you have tried it. Xmas Grin
Don't knock it until you've tried it folks.

ReinDearPrudence · 19/12/2012 23:07

Fascinating. They don't look especially natural, but I suppose it might be worth it if your teeth are straight off Jeremy Kyle very bad.

I'd love this too!

Pukecatcher, you simply have to let us know what they're like in rl. Bet your dh could improve them....
