New bra size? Embrace or ignore?

Ok, so today I had my first bra fitting at the grand old age of 46 Blush
I've been wearing a 34dd for.....well, forever if I'm honest!

Both shops measure me as either 32f or 30ff.
The norks are now up around my chin and enter a room 3 feet before I do. Granted, this has streamlined my torso and given any sign of boob droop the heave-ho but I feel bloody self conscious. (Have alwaysfelt self concious about huge norks) I looked more in proportion in the old bras as they had a minimising effect and tbh looked pretty much ok.At size 10 everywhere else I now look like I might topple in a strong wind and I'm not sure how many, if any of my tops will fit my new shape

So, embrace or hide in my old size? All opinions much appreciated! TIA

ThanksGrin

Have been shopping today actually. I seriously cannot believe how much better I looked. OH says I look like I've lost weight which is great and I've started a mass cull of my wardrobe. The chuck pile is about 4 feet up the wardrobe already Xmas Shock and ive only just started! I am shocked at how badly most of my clothes fit....I have been in a rut of wearing baggy, too big for me stuff all over.

So that bra fitting has changed more than just my boob position. It seems to have shifted my whole perception

Fab! That's exactly why you should have a great-fitting bra! It does change your figure entirely. You could try Pepperberry to see if any of their clothes suit you. Their sizing is very erratic so if you buy online you have to be prepared to do returns, if you buy in the shop then try on everything as the same size can be entirely different in different styles. brastop.com also used to be good for large size major names at permanent sale prices, haven't looked there lately but I assume they're still good.

for clothes, this is nicer than Pepperberry

Thanks for that, HazleNutt. Never heard of them before and they look good. What's delivery/quality/sizing consistency like? (I hate returning online purchases).

Embrace!Grin
I've lost a fair bit of weight, and gone from a 36F to a 30GG which is already getting loose in the chest band, and a bit small in the cup probably a 28H really
I'm in slight denial as I can't face shopping for that size of bra, but the 36GGs already make my tops look fantastic, and my shape much better.

Thanks HazleNutt.......I think I'm in love with that denim dress. Prices look good too. I'd also be grateful for a heads up on sizing, quality etc

Quality I think is fine for the price, no major complaints, nice fabrics. I ordered based on the measurement table on their website and everything fits very well.
