If so, where is it from and is it worth the investment? Are they over or are they a classic? What do you wear with them?

I have a classic beige knee length trench that I bought in M&S autumn 2011. Wore it lots. Over pencil skirts and cashmere knits for work and over jeans and bretons at the weekend. I haven't really worn it this autumn. Not sure why! I definitely think they are a classic though.

I have a short one that I got from
Banana Republic at least a bazillion years ago. It is fab quality and has lasted well.

I bought a vintage Burberry one from
eBay but I am short and it was too long for me. I think if you are shorter in stature, go for a shorter length.

They are the kind of coat you can bung over whatever and look smart.

Try eBay for a vintage Burberry or Aquascutum?

I have a navy one from Whistles. I wear it over just about every sort of outfit on rainy spring, summer and autumn days (it's too light for winter).
