my old one has split at the seams. dsis got me a lovely black halterneck one from m&s, but i just seem to be all over the place in it. only nipples seem to be covered. Blush and even though have tummy the size of olympus, size 14 seemed to big on it.
any suggestions as to what style i should go for?
need for swimming at gym. not lounging on beach.Sad

I've bought a couple of swimsuits from Lands End. They seem to hold everything in (particularly the 'Tugless' ones) including, quite remarkably, my large and very wobbly buttocks. They are incredibly expensive though.

I got one in John Lewis, i think it was. Proper sized cups from A-F or something, and the woman measured me for it. Just plain black, but very flattering and businesslike

What about mix and match tankinis, you could buy different sized top and bottoms then.

brimfull · 11/04/2006 17:41

have a look at the bravissimo website they do swimsuits,so do amplebosom.com .

desperatehousewife · 11/04/2006 17:42

miriclesuit - can't recommend it highly enough. Costs a fortune, but holds it all in!

sixtwosix · 11/04/2006 17:46

thanks girls, will look at all those.
tankinis im scared off, as actually tummy is huge, and i mean absolutely huge. at size 16 it was a 20! but have been excercising, so bit smaller, but still petrified of them.

bravissimmo (sp?) have wonderful swimsuits which are sized by your bra size. Some have just an inner pouch, others have proper cups. And as well as the sunbathing ones, they have proper black ones for swimming in. I got mine from them and it has lasted for ages (and I'm a 34F!) And you can order them online...

also figleaves.com are fantastic.

sixtwosix · 11/04/2006 18:01

the tugless is nice.

Yep - I've got the tugless in the colour shown in the photo. It's not the most exciting swimsuit but it really does the job and is surprising flattering, although I haven't tested its stomach-flattening/nork-retaining potential as all my fat cells have taken up residence in my bum. In fact, given its name, I think the bum is the 'anxiety area' it's aimed at!

sixtwosix · 11/04/2006 22:03
Sad but its not my bum thats the problem! i have a very flat bottom. hug ee norks and tumtum. but no bum.Sad

flat bum, medium norks, big fat tum. I'm going for a Miraclesuit as receommended by Trinny and Suzannah

MamaMaiasaura · 11/04/2006 22:29

Am 36G with size 12 bottom. Swimsuit from Mark & Sparks T52 08221/2257 Black medium leg (i bought size 16 cos of top half). Fits over them well and gives support. Also slimming Grin hope that helps

Issyfit · 12/04/2006 14:22

Flat bum - lucky you sixtwosix! I sort of gathered that which is why I was pulling back on my 'tugless' recommendation.

sixtwosix · 13/04/2006 11:36

no issy, its not lucky me. Sad i wish i had a sexy sticky out bum, instead of a non sexy sticky out stomach, with saggy breasts on top Blush
pamela anderson without the plastic surgery look is the one im after.
