Bareminerals? Any good?

where can I buy/test bare minerals make up - seeing it on QVC and it looks good. Getting married on Saturday and wish I'd bought some.

Most dept stores and larger branches of Boots do it. I love it and am a total convert. Get thyself to a beauty counter now. Oh, and do you have a good primer?

Use Bobbi Brown but like idea of using more natural make up

Debenhams usually have a bare minerals counter where they will help you pick the right shade etc.

I was passing a bare minerals stand today in a dept store & pondered this. I have used it and liked BUT my make up is always moving around (dressing table, dining table, handbag, gym bag etc) and I found I couldn't handle the mess. Other more together tidier people must not have this issue.

I used Bare Minerals for a while in my thirties and liked it at the time, but now I'm in my forties it doesn't look flattering any more.

I have it. Bought it many years ago from QVC.

I used it on my wedding day. I don't like tp wear a lot of make up, it always looks natural on me.

Keep it simple though, the shop may try and get you to use the foundation, topped off by the overcoat powder, then a blush (sorry, can't remember exact names, I don't get my make up out often).

You may find that the foundation alone is quite enough. It will stay put, and you can always have a retouch later on.

I quite like it, but have now discovered Boots no 7 Intelligent Colour foundation and adore it. The texture is so light and it is far more flattering than powder on my not so youthful skin.

Mmmmm yes, I guess if you have a drier skin it won't look as good.

Oily face here, so it works for me.

I love it but use the matte version and hate the mineral veil so leave that out. Go and have a test at Debenhams, then buy on ebay for half the price once you know your colour. Ime if it's ageing or makes you orange you have the wrong colour. If you ask the make up woman for a tester she will open a drawer and give you a sample that will last well over a week - they keep that quiet then you can try at home before buying a full size one.

I have dry skin and my skin has definitely got more balanced since using it.

It looked awful on me, I would never buy it again.

I'm not sure if its got minerals in but I've just discovered max factor facefinity powder foundation and I love it. One to try after your wedding though - i agree with marian, might not be worth risking something new when wedding is so near. Have a lovely day!

Thanks! I'm going to stick with my Boots No7 instant radiance foundation with the Laura Mercier primer - and experiment after! Maybe as part of my post baby make over (my whole wardrobe needs a revamp and no point buying new at nearly 20 weeks pregnant)
I will go to Debenhams and try Valium my skin has gone from combi to normal/dry since having my daughter four years ago maybe I need to wait and see what DC2 does to my skin before investing in more z
