I want a fringe

But not sure which kind to ask for at the hairdressers (on Thursday! Eek!) and cant find any pics online of the perfect fringe! I want something that can be swept to the side and frames my face...I think!?

I have shoulder length, thick-ish dark, straight hair. I'm 35.

Do you want to be a full fringe that you can sweep to the side, or a side fringe? I have a full fringe but it's cut so that it's a little longer at the sides than in the middle, so if it starts to annoy me I can push it to the side and it seems to stay there and look like a side fringe. Not sure what you'd ask for at the hairdressers...it might be called a half moon fringe but I could be making that up! There are pics on my profile of my current fringe (the short hair one).

Lots of fringes on Pinterest too!

Thanks for your reply, Farlalalala.

Yes, I think I do want a full-ish fringe that can be swept to the side, rather than a side fringe itswim - and I like the idea of longer bits at the side, too. Your fringe is maybe a bit too full for me, as I dont have a lovely slim face like you!

Will check out pinterest now - thanks so much :-)

You're welcome! Hope you like your new cut :)

What about Kate Moss's fringe here and here? It's long at the sides and less full - could look straggly on some people but if you've got quite thick hair it should work.
