Best bronzer?

I have FINALLY got an idea out of my mum for her Christmas present. She would like a bronzer. She once had a freebie from Lizzie Arden which she liked. I have a Bobbi Brown Shimmer brick which I love.
What's best for a mature, stylish lady?

I really like Nars Laguna, the colour suits pretty much everyone.

Thank you. Will have a look at that one.

Don't EVER use bronzer in winter, never looks good. Use a self tan like Lancome flash bronzer gel overnight then a cheek stain or soft pink powder blusher next day. Bronzer powder waaaay too harsh and obvious on winter paler skin imho.

Tom Ford's Shade and Illuminate pallette is lovely. It contains a bronzer and a highlighter, neither of which are glittery or over the top. The texture is really workable and the quality is exceptional. Would make a lovely present. It's not cheap though.

nars laguna

not those shitty shimmer bricks

Why not simply head to mac and get a decent matt light contour shade for your mother to apply

Guerlain Teracotta powder!

Have dabbled with other brands and regretted it instantly. I always go back to Guerlain. I'm spectacularly pale and it doesn't make me look orange and shimmery.

It lasts ages too. Smile

Thanks. I agree about bronzer in winter, I use very sparingly at this time of year. But I do love my shimmer brick Smile
The Tom Ford one sounds good. Will have a look.

I like Benefit Hoola. It's not shimmery so not too obvious, and on my winter pale skin it deposits just enough colour to warm my complexion. I normally use a pink over the top for colour.

What I like about Benefit as well is that they are not super-pigmented so it's hard to over apply and start looking oompa loompa-ish!

I love Guerlain meteorites. The light ones are v good in winter too for a sort of glow esp if you don't do powder.

Oh I love a good brnzer Grin. I use Ultraglow, but avoid if you are very pale. The shimmery ones are crap, imho. You need somethng matte and a good brush to get a nice, even application.

I recommend Chanel Bronze Universel. I am quite pale, but this is very easy to get right and works better on me than any self-tan. It is not shimmery at all and gives a very natural glow.

Apparently, the product itself is a bronzing make-up base, but I have been using it under and over make-up and it works great either way. Your mum might need a good kabuki brush to go with it though.
