Acrylic nails can I file them down????

Eek ive had them done for a Xmas party but they are starting to annoy me a thy are too long. Can I just use a metal file and file them??? God knows how I am going to get my contacts out!!!! I've only had them done once before for my wedding and wasn't sure what to ask or help!!!!

Yes, just file them down to a more manageable length - it'll be fine. I have acrylics every now and then to keep nailbiting at bay. Long nails make my fingertips claustrophobic so I file the falsies every few days to keep them really short.

yes, you can file them, i think they look better shorter as well.

I had them done for my wedding, and couldnt cope with them so long, so filed them, works fine.

Thanks guys I don't like them too long either I'd better start filing. I'm not sure how people cope at this length or longer. Got to get my contacts out not xxx
