Primark skinnies - any good?

As above really!

Would like a grey and a burgundy pair - do they have them and how much?

Have just had DS2 and can't face heading into town to the scramble if they don't! I thought they would be good in the interim while I lose half a stone of baby weight, am a 12/14....

Thanks Smile

Oh I love mine ... I'm a size 12 but not got tummy down since last c-section... Not much hope either as DS is now 20Grin but I've got 3 pairs and one pair of the super skinny .. They stretch in all the right places . Aporx £9 a pair .. Bargain!

CQuin · 04/12/2012 17:59

yes i have the $7 ones - are really a good fit/

littlemissnormal · 04/12/2012 18:00

I've complimented 3 people recently on their skinnies to be told they're from primark. They do a bright blue pair which are lush.

aftereight · 04/12/2012 18:04

Got mine on for first time today - £7 skinnies (not super-skinnies). If you are a 12/14 you'd prob be a 12 in there Grin They are snug and haven't bagged at the knees like my others from next.

helpyourself · 04/12/2012 18:13

They're great. I bought some lovely bottle green ones I look like a paramedic.
Weirdly though they're really chilly Confused the material doesn't feel thin, but I need to wear a long jumper with them.

noddyholder · 04/12/2012 18:15

I like them esp the cheap ones but only the black stay tight ime

Maraki · 04/12/2012 18:50

They are great and they also come in short and long lengths. Go for them!

wickedfairy · 04/12/2012 19:12

Good to hear they don't bag, etc. even better they do long lengths.

Will go and get some! Are the skinnies skinny enough or would super skinny be better, from your experiences? I have fairly slim legs. Thanks very much!

Wearing mine now. For me they fall down a lot, and the knees are now baggy although I do crawl round a lot after my toddler. Even with a belt they don't fit right or stay up. I think they're too skinny at the ankles for my slightly pear shape too. Love the colours though

mummysmellsofsick · 04/12/2012 19:24

Oh and the seams are coming apart Sad

SantasChinUpAndHisWillysOut · 04/12/2012 19:34

It's true. Pear shapes don't fare well with the super skinnies. I particularly found them quite low rise on me bum. Legs were, well, super skinny like it says on the label. Had to take them back. Sigh. Not super skinny any more, see.

mummysmellsofsick · 13/12/2012 14:12

Just bought m&s 5 pocket jeggings, they are definitely better than the primark ones although the colours aren't as nice imo

wickedfairy · 13/12/2012 15:12

Well, I bought three pairs - berry, teal and grey! They are great (so far)!

Amblin · 13/12/2012 15:52

The £7 are awesome

mummysmellsofsick · 13/12/2012 18:58

Glad they're good on you! I need the higher rise of the m&s ones and I still don't think I'm a skinny jean shape but I like them so I wear them Smile

Cybbo · 13/12/2012 19:54

They are the best skinnies

Marne · 13/12/2012 19:59

I have 2 pairs which i live in at the moment Grin, they are fab and i find them a better fit than Next (have to buy a 14 in next to fit over my bum but they are 2 big around the waist, a 14 in primark are only a little bit too big but dont fall down and fit my legs nicely).

onyx72 · 13/12/2012 20:13

Beware the £11 super-skinnies. The zips are hopeless because they never stay closed.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 13/12/2012 20:15

Odd sizing though. At least it was few years ago.

Have a look in Gap they had burgundy and other colours on the sale today.

scripsi · 13/12/2012 20:16

what are the supersoft superskinnies like?

PlumSykes · 13/12/2012 20:24

Am living in my super-softs, though the zips are a bit wayward.

Corygal · 13/12/2012 20:33

Supersoft are utter heaven - they feel expensive and moleskinny, comfy enough to sleep in (I have).

Watch out for dodgy colours - black ok, navy good, cobalt lavly, but that mustard yellow looks cheap (sniff).

MissNJE · 13/12/2012 22:38

I don't really wear jeans but I have one skinny jeans and people keep commenting how lovely it is when I wear it.

scripsi · 13/12/2012 22:40

will have to pick some up some supersofts when I am next near a Primark. Anything else good there at the moment? (I am not in the market for a onesie).
