Styling a cheap wig

I am going to a fancy dress party as Marilyn Monroe, and as my (long dark blond) hair looks nothing like hers I have bought myself a cheap £10 nylon wig.

It looks ok from the back, but the front is just a frizzy mess. I know that for £10 I am not going to look a million dollars in it, but I would appreciate any tips as to how I can get it looking a bit less Albert Einstein and a bit more Marilyn.

It is supposed to be wavy rather than tight curls at the front, with a bit of a quiff. Any suggestions on the best way to style it so that it is neat waves rather than frizz?

Thanks

I managed to straighten a cheap, fancy dress long hair wig by running warm water over it then de-tangling with a tangle teezer, starting from the ends. Then left it to dry naturally and the weight of the 'hair' kept it straight. I have no idea how you would add waves, but I would avoid too much heat in case it melts. I used a YouTube video for instruction; have you tried searching there for tips?
