After a lo-ooong time away from office life, I'm returning to working in one in January. I've been freelancing at home for several years and have totally lost any sense of caring what I look like what's a good look these days. I'll be working for a luxury designer brand in their head office so need stuff that's smart - but definitely not stuffy. Ideas and links massively appreciated for fab work dresses in particular. I'm 5ft 6" and a size 10. Thank you! Smile

Dresses are your friend. Boden, LK Bennet and Hobbs are all good. Opaque tights, decent shoes. Swishy hair.

Do you get a discount to share? Grin

Have you been to the office many times? What were the people there wearing?

Trills has a point - good to find out what the others are wearing so that you won't get it totally wrong and be the odd one out.

I work in an office environment and this time of the year us women are all in trousers. We do wear skirts and dresses quite a lot during the summer but not in January! With you being 5' 6" and size 10 you should look good in a smart trouser suit.

Dresses and boots are great in winter (if it is the sort of place where boots are worn)
