...for DH - where can I get some that preferably don't cost the earth? He has been through three £30ish pairs in the last few months, all of which have leaked/split. He's only walking the dog in them! Can anyone recommend some hardwearing ones please?

Get Sorel boots instead. Completely waterproof, will last forever, better for his back and toasty warm.

If he's walking a lot then it is worth shelling out for a decent pair - sorry!

Aigle Parcours are a walking welly with a proper moulded footbed, various Le Chameau are similar but even more £££. Go for neoprene lined, they're so much more comfy and warm.

Or Muckboots. I wear mine daily and I love them.
