What's the best nail polish remover for glitter nail polish?

I usually put a colour on then put a ton bit of glitter polish on top. But it's a bugger to get off.

Any recommendations?

Boots own brand one, the liquid is light pink, bottle has a black cap. Shifts anything.

Pure acetone is the best for removing glitter polishes

Acetone all the way.

The one I got had acetone in it so I thought it would be good.

Where do you buy pure acetone?

Any false nail remover - the jar ones are best as they have little plastic 'fronds' inside that I find get glitter off fast.

I've seen something interesting on nail blogs recently - use PVA glue as a base (put into a rinsed out nail polish bottle for ease), and then glitter polish over the top. Then you can peel it off!

I'm definitely going to try this, I hate taking glitter polish off but I love the look of it.

I just use tesco own brand stuff and it comes off quickly and cleanly. Never even thought about it being different with glitter. It must be a strong one..

Thanks for replies, I've bought a false nails remover but I'm giving my nails a rest for a couple of weeks, they're wrecked [shock!]

I've (very gently) filed it off before, just the top layer or so.

I had this problem last night, the glitter bits came off with a second wipe and with holding the cotton wool against the nail for a bit
