H&M shoe sizing- how does it compare?

after publicly declaring on here last week that I would never order online again from h&m i have just ordered a pair of boots i have been stalking since they went out of stock 3 weeks ago. Incidentally my return has been processed and refunded within 10 days of sending it back. But I am usually a 5 and have just ordered a 6 on the basis that- they are very high and i sometimes do that with heels (clearly nothing to do with the fact that only a 6 and a 3 have come back into stock!!). But having never bought shoes there before have no idea what they're like fit-wise. Can anyone offer advice? Really hoping they're ok as I got £20 with various discount codes from on here.

I always found the shoe sizes true to size which is not what you want to hear. Sorry.

Bought a pair of wedge heels last summer in my normal size and they were fine

I agree with chablis, they've always been true to size for me.
What kind of shoes are they? Is there any chance you can team them with thick socks?

They are black leather ankle boots which I saw on the allwornout blog and loved, can get away with wearing socks under, will wait and see. Can,t link as now sold out again.

I have always found that they run small but I have weird between sizes feet so that could just be me.

Could always use an insole as well
