Please lovely ladies,

I need some perspective here as people keep telling me I'm as I should be but not sure I agree....

I am 5 ft 8 , at the minute I weigh 11 st 8lb. Classic apple shape, 34ff boobs but good pair of legs! I feel I'm still fat at this weight even though I'm largely in a size 12 top and (mostly) bottom. Realistically though I'm pushing 40 so really struggling to lose anymore weight (i drink too much red wine if truth be told!)

So, what do other ladies with similar stats to me weigh?
Should I be hitting the spin bike and shakes or relaxing a little

Thanks Grin

13 stones and 5 pounds - size 16.

I feel really heavy. I used to be 11 stones 7 pounds two years ago and a size 14 on top, 12 bottom (big upper body).

I've been as heavy as 16 stones in my life. Oddly enough, when I was heavier, it didn't seem to bother me as much.

I think 10 stones would be perfect for me at this height.

Ohyesiam · 07/03/2017 22:11

I'm 5'8", and can look good clothed at 12 stone, but of I want to look good in a swimsuit , 11 stone Max. Pre kids I probably hovered around 10 stone.
At 49 I think it's ok to be a stone heavier than in my 20 s.

You sound the same shape asd me, I wish all of me was add good as my legs!

spankhurst · 07/03/2017 22:22

I weigh 14 stone ish and wear a 14. I am big framed and was relatively heavy even when a size 10 back in the 80s. People carry weight tremendously differently. My waist-hip ratio is fabulous!

AteRiri · 07/03/2017 22:45

Whatever the weight, at least, we have nice legs, right girls? :)

Rockinghorsehay · 07/03/2017 22:45

5ft7, 9st 7lb, small framed and a size 10. Could easily lose 5-6lb and not be too skinny. I am quite fit but carry extra weight on stomach, arms and face after kids.

watermelongun · 07/03/2017 22:58

5'7'' and about 8st 8ish, size 8-10. I'm about 5lbs over my happy weight at the moment (not disordered! Just have a really small frame so a few lbs goes straight on my tummy and inner thighs). Yet my friend who is a much shorter 5'4'' can happily go up to 12 stone and look absolutely fine! I think there's so much variation in the way weight is carried. Don't put too much store by the numbers, go on how you feel.

Im 5ft 8 amd currently 12st 9. I have at least a stone to lose from having ds nearly 2yrs ago as well as the saggy overhang but its bloody hard :( i dont look "fat" though im in proportion

ashtrayheart · 07/03/2017 23:03

I'm size 18/20 and I swear I stress less over my size/weight than my slim friends! Smile

bananafish81 · 07/03/2017 23:12

I'm just under 5'8'' and currently roughly around 8 and a half stone

I worked really hard to get my BMI up to healthy range when we started fertility treatment but after my miscarriages I lost all the weight and found it hard to summon the motivation to get it back up.

ManilowBarry · 02/06/2024 21:25

5'8" and between 8.5 and 9 stone. 9 stone would be the heaviest I've weighed but as I've got older if I dip below 8.5 it no longer suits me to be that slim.

I am small busted.

RamblingRosa · 02/06/2024 21:29

I'm 5"8 and I'm around 9 stone 4. Size 8-10 (8 on top, 10 on bottom).

Back21970 · 03/06/2024 11:07

I’m 5ft 8 and 11.7, I’m a 12, very occasionally a 10 but a 14 in M&S jeggings.

When I get nearer 11 stone I feel much better but it’s hard now for me to just maintain let alone lose weight.

On a mission to lose a stone over the next 3 months for a September holiday, must be about 8 years since I’ve been under 11 and feel it would make a huge difference.

Just in case it's relevant, this thread is 14 years old

Mercurial123 · 03/06/2024 16:55

I'm 5' 9" and 10 stone 3 pounds. I'm 53 and finding it harder to maintain.

Didn't notice it's a zombie thread. Why would someone answer a post with the last response in 2017? Weird.
