Any Jo Malone recommendations?

My lovely hubby is taking me to the Jo Malone shop to choose a new perfume for Xmas. I've worn j'adore for as long as I can remember and would love a change.

I don't want anything too musky or heavy. Any recommendations?
Thanks

Pomegranate noir .............. if you are not sure or like lots (!) my suggestion would be to buy body creme as they are gorgeous - I have pomegranate noir & gardenia & also phone ahead & try and book in for a complimentary arm /hand massage or whatever they are offering at taster bar - look online as they usually show options there - at this time of year you can't usually walk in & wait iykwim

ENJOY

Quietlyspoken Jo Malone have a shop at Heathrow for dutyfree shopping if you know anyone who is going on hol's. The send out testers but they are just cards sprayed with the scent.

CountryBelle i too thought they would be amazing when i heatrd about themfirst years ago.?Was so disappointed part with Lime,Basil - i think it smells 'off' or smells of faded old clothes . Can't put my finger on it but yuck. And i love citrus smells like L'Occitane Verbena etc.Dislike strong , spicy scents hence my aversion to Pomegranate Noir.

I love and adore the red roses bath oil, it is so far superior to any other bath products, really fab for dry winter skin.

OP you can get boxes with 5/6 little bottles, or sets with 2 30ml bottles.

VG for the ditherers amongst us me

CountryBelle I'm with you. I briefly owned Pomegranate Noir but couldn't stand it - such a synthetic migraine-inducer. Am not very excited about the rest. Clever packaging and branding - content is an afterthought.

Why does no one like Blue Agave and Cacao? Sad

Its brilliant- very exotic, lasts on me and takes me to lovely, sun drenched beaches whenever I wear it....

curiositykilledthekat · 22/11/2012 18:41

Flipping love Blue Agave and cacao. Had the perfume and the body creme. Never had my neck nuzzled so much! Hoping Santa brings me some more as I'm running low!

chipstick10 · 22/11/2012 20:03

The nutmeg and ginger is lovely.

Charliefox · 22/11/2012 20:15

I like blue agave but hate the rest of em.

bruffin · 22/11/2012 20:28

I love the Pear and Freesia, they gave me a tester of the new which is blackberry and something, which has my daughter has pinched as an aftershave

bruffin · 22/11/2012 20:32

BlackBerry and bay, and my ds not my dd pinched it aftershave.

beachyhead · 22/11/2012 20:38

English pear and freesia, orange blossom and pom noir (for winter evenings). Lime basil and mandarin goes 'off' on me and smells so chemically...

kiwigirl42 · 23/11/2012 11:17

you can get samples/ decants on ebay of some of the fragrances. I've just bought 3 mls of Rosewater and Vanilla in a roller bottle from ebay for about £4.
I like it but its very incensey

Aquelven · 23/11/2012 14:56

CountryBelle, I don't get it either.
I have tried to like them but they all smell toilet cleaner/air freshener to me.
