Help!

I'm going out for pre christmas drinks with some mums from dds school. I have no idea what to wear! We're going to a large quite trendy pub/restaurant.

I'm 5' 6", size 12/14 with 32H boobs. I think I pretty well need to buy everything but on a smallish budget. Any ideas???

Thank you in advance. I'm hugely challenged style wise - I tend towards the mumsy I fearBlush

Hey Maybe - what's your style? I would wear - dark skinny jeans, heels, an over sized shirt or long line top - chunky (inexpensive) bangles & a clutch bag.

I would wear this as it's drinks and not clubbing! I usually only wear dresses for something swish Smile

Have a look in H&M, I usually always find something I like in there and it's not that expensive.

Northumberlandlass thank you for answering!

Um, my style veers towards the frumpy - I'm very curvy podgy and struggle to get skinnies over my thighs Blush I guess my boobs and thighs make me look quite matronly although I'm only 40, and I've a habit of wearing oversize clothes which do nothing for me.

Can I wear skinnies and heels if I've thighs and calves???

I'm built like you and I find that skinny flares, fitted top and a blazer work pretty well.

If you are uncomfortable in Skinnys, then maybe go for a dress? Usually ends up being cheaper anyway. Curvy is good !

I'll have a look around and come back.

Ooh skinny flares. Why have I never heard of them? Where do you buy yours? Like the idea of a blazer...

Sorry I can't do links on phone but I got mine from river island a couple of years ago. Levi's, Dorothy Perkins and I think next also sell them.

Blazers are good because they give structured shape and a fitted top to stop your bosoms and stomach from becoming one! If I wear a loose fitting top it hangs from my tits so my stomach looks like it's as big as my chest.

For blazers try H&M, Zara and River Island. I particularly love my white blazer, it's a bit more understated glam than other colours.

Try heels or wedges with skinny flares though and get the length right, no ankle flappers!

Statement bag or chandelier earrings are good with this look too I think

Thank you, that's really helpful. I'll try some jeans on at the weekend.

I know what you mean about boobs and tummy becoming one! I'll have a look for a fitted top as well.

I've got some stiletto heel black suede boots - would they look OK with the jeans or does it need to be high heeled shoes?

Anything is fine shoe/ boot wise I think as long as the jeans are the right length. Take the boots shopping with you if you can so you can try them. I wear really high wedge shoe boots with mine but also wear them with stillies, pointed ones look really good I think.
