I have always been a bravissimo fan and gone into the store to buy and be fitted. But we have moved and it's just too far to manage the trek to bravissimo and back inside of school hours iyswim.... So I ordered online last time. I bought the same size in what I thought was the same style I had before, and when they arrived, they all fitted lovely. But 2 or 3 wears in, I have 2 extra boobs poking over the top, one each side. I bought a 36G. The back fits fine, but the cup seems wrong and they are so uncomfortable. These 4 I bought in May this year and now I am down to the last 1 remaining after the underwire fell out of all the others.

What should I do? Can anybody help? Am thinking to order online again, but don't know if to go up a cup size?? Or should I order a selection and send back the ones that don'#t fit?
Tbh, is a right pain in the arse, as I am on a very tight budget and really can't afford to order 3 or 4 bras at £20+ a go just to try

OK, it sounds like you need a bigger cup. However, it might be that the style you ordered has been altered since your last fitting (so frustrating when brands tweak favourites and make them worse!).

I think you're going to have to order a couple of different styles in a few sizes. When was the last time you were fitted? If you want to take some measurements and post them on here, then I and the other Bra Expert ladies will happily advise on sizes to try .

OK, here goes. Measure under your bust (hold the tape tight) to get your band measurement. Do not add on any inches to this measurement. Then measure across the fullest part of your bust.

Eek, that is grim. Here are some much nicer bras in larger sizes:

thanks sorrel,, sorry to sound stupid but do you measure around the bust with bra on or off?
Off to look for tape measure, may be some time!!

thinking it might be the style. I had some maternity ones which were lovey and comfy which were non wired and very full cup. Then tried a more sexy looking balcony style thing, which made it all fall out

If you ring Bravissimo rather than order online, the ladies who answer know which bras come up big/small in cup or back and can advise you. They are realyy, really helpful IME.
If you fancy a balconette type but with more coverage try the Cleo bras. Mine are 34GG and are fab.

You can measure wearing a decent fitting bra or if you prefer, take your bra off and lean forward so that your boobs hang down towards the floor and then measure.

Finding the right style(s) for you is so important. I have boobs that are fuller on the bottom and don't get on with plunge/full cup styles at all. I only wear padded balconnettes.

humptydidit · 20/11/2012 17:35

omfg sorrel if I lean forward they practically drag on the ground!!!!

Still looking for tape measure!
