Classic Glamour???

Invited to a wedding where the dress code is "classic glamour". Anyone know what style this is and where I can get a not-too-expensive dress?

All replies gratefully received. Smile

Look at picture of Grace Kelly and Jackie Kennedy and take inspiration from them!

Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffanys defined classic glamour.

lurkingaround · 21/11/2012 10:42

Yes, Tiffanys is so lovely. I think I read somewhere that Audrey Hepburn was 5'6", and 7.5 stone. So I aint gonna look like her anytime soon! Grace Kelly was also very beautiful.

I'm thinking Hollywood glamour like the oscars. Nice dress, nice jewels but all very understated.

[[http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-493031/A-fine-vintage-Why-fashionistas-spending-thousands-clothes-heritage.html These] women (except for the Kate Moss photos) are all showing Classic Glamour.

*sorry of the DM link!

Well this is what I got:

www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_008010735703_-1?breadcrumb=Home~Women~Dresses

Despite being 5' 2 and 3/4 '' (the 3/4 of an inch is v. important Grin) and usually a size 16, I managed to look all curvy and fit a size 14. Already have black patent shoes and new matching bag. Just have to find a nice necklace (and stop eating for the next 6 days).
