Man made diamonds

I was in a man made diamond shop today.. I couldn't tell the difference.

Are man maded diamonds a no no, or the sensible option for those of us who don't have the money for a very expensive mined gem?

some are v good indeed

up to you

if you want real diamonds make sure they are ethical is all I say

I just loved the ring - it would have been 10x the price if it were the real deal.

Ok, but is it ten times the price of second hand or lovely antique diamonds?

I wouldn't now buy a new diamond though I have been to Antwerp to buy before but I would love old rose cut diamonds in an Art Deco ring.

Moisanite (sp?) is meant to be really good, but never seen it in the flesh.

If you think about it, the price of diamonds is nonsense anyway. It's all just down to clever advertising.

If you can get a ring that you really want in moissanite it still has a given value.

Laurie second hand/antique diamonds are still expensive- the quality grading is still the same, just different cuts.

Do you know what kind of man made stone it was OP?

what shop was it?

I have a man made ring from carat that looks similar to my wedding ring. When we travel I leave my wedding ring and engagement ring somewhere safe at home and just take that.
