Oh I've no advice but Im shamelessly joining thread for advice too... I am 37 and am a cross between living in the fashions of the 90s when I last shopped for clothes of my own and wearing hand-me-downs from my own mother.

Style? Size? Budget? Good bits? Bad bits?

I am exactly the same! Got stuck wearing boot cut jeans and v neck jumpers every day cos Trinny and Susannah said they'd make me look slimmer and taller.... That was nearly ten years ago!!!! Had some stuff in my wardrobe but didn't know how to wear it or kept it 'for best' which is hardly ever.

Anyway, have set myself a challenge to wear 50 different outfits ( even if I just tweak a scarf/ shoes/ necklace) for the fifty days to Xmas ( I started a week ago)

It's bloody hard because I've not got lots of clothes but I've been digging deep in my wardrobe and have got some new scarves/ Primark jeans after researching blogs and mumsnet. Don't feel nearly so crap this week. I've taken pics each day ( even if it makes me cringe) and it has made me more adventurous. Why not have a go? Even if it's just for a week, it's amazing what outfits you can put together out of a load of old crap out of the back if your wardrobe :)
