Are they nicer in real life than the photos on the website as they look a bit dreary?

Their Bretons are fab and I got a great oil cloth coat

You do get the odd nice thing, but generally quite frumpy making as MrsWolowitz says.

If you like Joules, White Stuff, Boden etc then you'll probably like Seasalt.

Had a quick look in a shop when in Cornwall, and was quite disappointed - so I'd say frumpy and dreary too.
