I need some handbag help!

Expecting DC2, and I would like a lovely leather across body bag that I can keep my purse/phone in so I can keep the changing bag hanging on the pram without having to take it off. I also just want a new really nice handbag as I haven't had one for years, and it's the only thing I can think of to ask DH for for Christmas.

I would LOVE a mini Mulberry Alexa, but with a baby on the way and us moving house at some point soon it's probably unjustifiable to spend that much.

So, can anyone here help me out with a bag that will satisfy me? Preferably black leather, which will not go out of fashion and is timeless, well made and stylish all in one? I reckon he would probably go up to £250 for it.

I bought this maisie last week, for use on work lunches and in evening as its just big enough for my keys/phone/diary/lippy and I wanted something to go with my briefcase... very pleased with it goes cross body and strap comes off so its a clutch too..

I love 2 in 1 bags as I can convince DH I am SAVING him money!

LittlePickle I love Marc by MJ bags, I have a bit of an obsession the Natasha which I also have is also worth a look, it's a bit bigger, proper handbag sized but crossbody. I tried the mini Alexa and found it quite big and bulky actually, the Percy is just right for the essentials and quite a simple classic style. I saw Natasha in the sale in a lovely wine colour somewhere.

The marc Jacobs stella is fab. I got it in black and a tan one from outnet. I'm not sure that they do a current version.
Marc Jacobs and mulberry are my favourite brands. Although mulberry price hike has put them out of my price range for now.

The bigger oen was 495 I think got it for my sis last year for 30th bday, rediculous increase in price..
