Impulse boots

I bought these boots on a whim.
And I like them very much (I hope they aren't too mumsy for s and b) but can somebody here please tell me what to wear them with?!

leggings and long jumper / skinny jeans, thick tights with a tunic / shirt dress - they are not Unspeakable and would also look good with skinny combats!

Thanks. I have odd knees for leggings (though slightly improved by the slight heel on these boots). I did try them with a skirt but there is a very fine line to frumpish librarian and I think that just edged over it. Given your tunic suugestion perhaps I need to go shorter with the skirt :)
