Evening all. Smile

Further to my recent interview, I've been invited to an induction day tomorrow. Eeeek.

I asked, and there is no dress code but I don't particularly want to make a tit of myself. Generally the staff wear black - so I was thinking maybe I'd wear that. But I don't know Confused

Any suggestions lovely people? Thank you Thanks

That's great news! Well done so far.

You have given zero information to help in the advice-stakes though Grin. What sort of black things were the other staff wearing? What sort of black thing were you thinking of?

MacAndCheese · 05/11/2012 17:02

Oh sorry Blush

Generally the staff I've seen wear black skirts/trousers with a black top. And then their name badge.

I was thinking of this with black tights. I want to wear these but was talked out of them for my interview.

tak1ngchances · 05/11/2012 17:31

Also what type of company/industry is it?

MacAndCheese · 05/11/2012 17:36

It's retail. I was thinking small earrings, and maybe a bracelet/bangle?

MacAndCheese · 05/11/2012 17:50

MaureenLove · 05/11/2012 17:52

what job is it?

MaureenLove · 05/11/2012 17:53

retail - in a shop or retail a manager?

MacAndCheese · 05/11/2012 18:00

I'm drip feeding. Apologies.

Retail job as a Christmas Temp in a Department store. Tomorrow is my induction day - I can wear what I want but I'd rather stay within the range of what everyone else is wearing IYSWIM?

Ok then I think discreet jewellery would be nice. Make sure your hair & nails are nice as you'll be in a customer facing role. The dress is perfect. I would go conservative on the shoe front.
Good luck!!

MacAndCheese · 05/11/2012 18:09

Thank you all Thanks

How did it go?

MacAndCheese · 07/11/2012 11:18

It went really well! A lot of paperwork and health and safety information. We have more training next week. Yay! Smile
