1. cord above knee skirt + opaques + riding boots + fitted cashmere sweater + scarf
2. straight leg jeans + ankle boots + heat tec top + fitted shirt + statement necklace
3. skinny jeans + brogues + blouse + wool blazer

Denim mini + grey or navy or burgundy opaques + brown knee high boots + thermal socks + thermal t-shirt + fitted jumper + scarf + biker jacket or peacoat + wristwarmers

Khaki or black or grey skinnies + long sleeved top + big jumper + thermal socks + ankle boots + add scarf + coat + wristwarmers

Jumper dress + opaques + boots (ankle or knee depending on length and style of dress) + coat + scarf + wristwarmers

Jersey dress + long sleeved top under + cardi over + opaques etc etc

All sounds nice.

Anyone care to point me at any pictures? especially of dresses.

This is mainly for at-home life - I work from home. School run etc...

So cashmere, statement necklace etc.. seems a bit OTT for commuting from bed to desk. Although maybe good for more sociable days.

I wear a different coloured scoop neck vest or t-shirt underneath mine.

Not got that particular dress but really rate them for hard-wearing jersey dresses.

Bargain black one here if you are small or extra small. I'm a size 12 and small is fine for me.

I am practically living in these atm. Worn with coloured tights or plain opaques, ankle boots or studded flats. Big scarf and a long cardi.

I have a couple of other dresses too.
I dress them differently, with belts, scarves, boots in different lengths and heel heights.

YY to tights too, Asda are cheap as chips for patterned and coloured ones.

I have a few White Company jersey dresses. My favourite is about 4 years old. Worn to death. Wish they'd repeat it and i could buy other colours.

I like the idea of above-the-knee cord skirts. What shop might sell such a thing? (preferably high st prices)

M&S or Boden probably good for cord minis. Let me know if you find any nice ones - I fancy a v fine cord charcoal one, or perhaps a red one.

Next do good cord skirts, they're called mini but they'd be above the knee on me, but I've got horribly stumpy little legs :)
