Make-up beginner (35, brown rings under eyes), wish for sultry eye make up and how-to guide

I see people wearing lovely eyeshadow/liner (eg greys, browns, greens, blues) and would like to try it. Am 35, v dark hair, pale skin, hazel eyes, big black rings under eyes.

At the moment I only wear make-up (foundation, under-eye concealer, liquid blush, lip colour) for work and occasional evenings out (when add mascara). Last time I wore eyeshadow/liner was around 1996!

Any Tips, guidebook recommendations would be lovely.

Youtube! I've only been wearing makeup for a couple of years ( 37 now ) and learned everything from Youtube tutorials. Pixiwoo, Lisa Eldridge and Tanya Burr are good starting points, as they're professional makeup artists, but keep it very fun and informal and easy to follow.
