Khaki skinnies, help?

Just bought a pair of light khaki skinnies as a change, as I tend to live in dresses and jeans.
All was good, until I realised I have no bloody idea why to wear them with...!
What colours work with them? And what style tops? Do I wear boots or will I look like an army reject?

I have some and I wear with black ankle boots and a fine knit black jumper or if warm a black dressy vest top and heels. Have also worn with a white vest and fitted grey cardigan. People have complimented so must be ok :)

I wear both pairs of mine with camel suede ankle boots and grey biker boots, and a selection of tops in cream, brown, petrol/teal, yellow and red. I think it's a fairly versatile colour actually. My tops are mostly racer back vests and either drapey waterfall cardigans or oversized slouchy knitwear.

yes the ankle boots have heels too, only way for me I dont like mine with flats
