Hair straighteners - need new ones?

Lavenderhoney · 01/11/2012 13:27

My hair straighteners are very very old and skinny ones. Do I need new ones? They get hot but my hair is still a bit frizzy after, even if I use serum. I have long past my shoulders hair which is wavy but I like it straight with a sort of wave, think Jennifer Anniston in friends:)

If I do need new ones, which ones? Thanks!

GHD all the way. Nothing else compares. Although my hairdresser uses Babyliss ones.

GHD!

sleeplessinsuburbia · 01/11/2012 13:36

Half of ghd started a new conpany cloud nine. They are made as per the original ghds before they changed factories and got cheap. I was told by someone in the know....

Thank you, am going to get some this weekend:)

I wouldn't have anything less than Corioliss.

Amazing and leave my hair feeling even fresher too

I just replaced my 10 year old Ghds with a new pair and they are RUBBISH now. Several of my friends agree. Like many things that get fashionable, I think they changed the way they make them, probably to produce cheaper for higher margins but quality goes to boot. My Dad has mended my old ones thank god.

Babyliss ones are great

crazyaccountant · 01/11/2012 21:14

I second the cloud nine suggestion my hair dresser now swears by them and says they really are far better than the current range of GHD's.

Have just bought these. www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4433707.htm
much better than my GHDs and good price!

Coconutter · 02/11/2012 00:43

Try Hair Tools ones. As good as ghds!

3mily · 02/11/2012 02:19

I have those ones izzys. I think they are amazing :)
