strapless backless bras

I'm going to wear a dress next weekend that I have dug out from the back of the wardrobe. I haven't worn it for - ahem - over 10 years!

It is a loose-ish above knee length shift, with very thin shoulder straps. It also comes down pretty low at the back. I absolutely love this dress and was delighted to discover it again, but last time I wore it I was pre-dc and had rather firm boobs so didn't bother with a bra. Nowadays, sadly that's not the case. They're still small, around 30B but rather like deflated balloons so would move around and I would feel very anxious about going braless.

Do the stick on bra things work? Or some contraption that winds around your tummy? Ones with wings? Without? Frankly, I wear t-shirt bras most of the time, so googling 'strapless, backless bra' has confused me, a lot. Anyone got any advice?

The ones that cross over and go round your tummy are good, but take some getting used to, having straps over your abdomen, it feels weird!
I had some stick on ones that worked well for ages, the next one I bought was crap and peeled off immediately might have forgotten to NOT put moisturiser on

I bought a stick on bra - called Bra-less, in pink packaging - from Primark last autumn. Somewhat surprisingly, it worked brilliantly on my small and deflated boobs, staying stuck for the duration of an all-nighter in a fairly sweaty venue.

As Perfect says, not moisturising is a must!

Forgot to add they are pretty cheap (about a fiver) and reusable if you follow the cleaning instructions properly.

Primark sounds a good start. Forgot to add, I'm 42 now. My boobs just aren't what they used to be...

Hi ladies,

I am getting married soon and I am in a backless bra crisis! I am 30 E and all the stick on bras that I tried at various stores go upto size D or DD and none of those fit me. Do any of you know a way out or can suggest me anything?

Many thanks!

Just how low is the back of your dress? I have the wonderbra ultimate strapless and it's actually quite low at the back - I have worn it underneath this and it didn't show. I did use a small amount of tape just to ensure it didn't ride up over the back of the dress.

bridetobe will you definitely need a bra under a wedding dress? I am a 30F, and thought I would need a bra under my wedding dress, but in the end the corsetting in the dress was sufficient support and I didn't need one. Have you tried your dress on without a bra to see what it feels like?
