quality skincare which is not £££? Possible?

I stopped using any decent skincare products because they were so expensive. I used to use Dr Hauschka, but I just looked up the prices, and I don't see how I can justify it.
So what do you use? What is affordable and decent? In my ideal world I would like cheap (ish), natural (or natural ish I guess), and not too much hassle! Is that too much to ask for? Maybe it is....Anyone got any good suggestions?
PS - I should add that pre-DD I had terrible acne and oily skin, but now after the miracle skin solution of childbirth, I just have a few scars and the occassional spot....

Is Body Shop really any different from all the others? Are they genuinely natural and does your skin feel lovely afterwards?

If you like Dr Hauschka, then I would recommend Shea Alchemy This is a small company and the ingredients are natural and the creams smell amazing.

Cebra are also great.

It is late, but I have to say Nip + fab no needle serum AMAZING but shhh dont tell anyone. my skin has changed, it is plumped, smoothed and it is noticeable - I am off my tits right now and I look gorgeous

Thanks. Am salivating over those websites and think they look fabulous. Nip and fab does look great but the all natural stuff is just so appealing to me.
Now I've just got to decide what to buy....

liz earle do some great offers on QVC.

I have Liz Earle products at the moment and they are not as organic and chemicals free as they marketed. Only few are certified organic, others have parabens in them. Go to their website, each product has its ingredients listed.

Body shop on the other hand is largely all natural. Again, each product has a list of ingredients shown on their website. They much more green than Liz Earle. I'm gradually moving to their skin are and make-up after Im finished with Liz Earle. And then I'll be trying Neals Yard and lush.

Make your own skincare products, cheaper and more effective in my opinion.

I'm currently cleansing with ponds cold cream (£2.99) and moisturising with doublebase gel (couple of quid from chemist) and my skin looks the best it has in months. I used to spend up to £200 on lotions and potions.

I love La Roche-Posay. Each item is around £11-£15, but they are often on 3 for 2 offers at Boots. It's a really great skin care range, just as good as higher end stuff.

Question about Ponds, I was looking at this in Boots, but the tub was tiny, only about 50ml, and it worked out price per ml to not really be that cheap.

OK. I'm nearly 54, have great skin and have never, ever used expensive skincare products.

I have always removed make up before going to bed, used moisturiser since I was 15 and wear SPF15 minimum on my face. I have very even tempered skin and have used - Boots Protect and Perfect, Body Shop vitamin E, Virgin Vie, l'Oreal, Olay, Lacura and goodness knows what else on my skin.

I personally believe that you don't need to spend a lot on skincare as long as you moisturise, moisturise and moisturise, wear a minimum of SPF15 and clean all your make up off before you go to bed, and drink plenty of fluid.

I like boots No7 stuff and thats quite cheap. The day moisturiser and beauty serum is lovely and great for putting make up on to.

Aldi and La Roche Posay.

I switched from Origins to No7 last year due to ££, but the best moisturiser I have come across is DD's prescription Diprobase.

I love Liz Earle, have used since february and find it reasonable (each item about £12), and my skin looks great.
I used to use Decleor but it just got too expensive.

Another vote for aldi and their inexpensive range which includes cream with hyaluronic acid. Better than expensive stuff because you can use more.

Boots Time Delay. Very like the No7 but half the price, even cheaper when they give the £5 vouchers or do 3 for 2, like now.

Does the doublebase or the diprobase not clog up your skin after a while (eyes eczema prescription across the room)? It's quite greasy.

I had diprobase and doublebase but they irritate my skin. I find the boots own paraffin cream is better for my skin type and is £4 for a massive tub.

My skin is really quite dry so no it doesn't seem too. As for the ponds £2.99 for 50ml is still 'value' for me compared to the £20 for 125ml I was using previously and I find I only need a tiny amount using a hot muslin to cleanse then a rinse in clean waterleaves my skin feeling squeaky clean.

I've just had to stop using diprobase now they've (who? I don't bloody know) changed it to Zerobase and I had what seemed like boils on my face.

I'm now trying Astral. And I smell like my nan and my dh's nan. But I don't care as long as I have clear skin!

Another Nip & Fab fan here. Love the scrub! Also Lacura Snake serum.

Absolutely love Astral, best moisturiser ever. Have you heard of the Oil Cleansing Method OP? Lots of threads on here about it, it's cheap and totally natural and has made my skin look great.
