Duckfeet shoes

I'm planning to buy a pair of Danish Duckfeet shoes. They have crepe soles and I'm wondering how hardwearing they are. I had a pair of desert boots as a teen and they lasted forever and ever, but I know there's different kinds of crepe. Does anyone have a pair of Duckfeet? How well do they last? Thank you!

I want some! They are the perfect love child of my "I have thesein several colours and wear them every day" boots and my "If money were no object [[http://conkershoes.com/shop/boots/92/1/ boots and shoes".

Second link again.

I don't really know about the crepe though, but it looks like it should be pretty sturdy on the Duckfeet boots.

I think I'm going to risk it after pay day! I'll let you know.

I got a pair about 4 years ago and yes, they are really hard wearing. I wear them a lot in A/W and reckon they have several years more wear in them. And they are comfy :)

FrightRunScream · 27/10/2012 19:55

How does the sizing come up?

AlisonOrdnung · 28/10/2012 20:27

Thanks Kaz, that's brilliant to hear! Are they grippy enough? The pavement outside my house is really slippy.

Lurking. These look lovely, and would probably fit my orthotics. Will be interested to hear about wheter they are slippy or not.

AlisonOrdnung · 29/10/2012 19:50

FrightRunScream - you can measure your feet for the exact size. I'm actually really excited about doing that. So sad.

They look LOVELY. They also look really similar to my daughters Angulus boots which are also from Denmark and also pricey. They are lovely and hard wearing though.

I've had various pairs of conker shoes/boots and they are brill - I bought one pair in 1993 - they have been re-soled a couple of times but are still going strong. Grip has never been a problem.

AlisonOrdnung · 30/10/2012 16:53

Thanks Lists! They WILL be mine!

I have those DM boots and a pair of DM Bikers that have lasted me 9 years.

AlisonOrdnung · 10/11/2012 08:52

The duck feet are in my sticky hands (or on my sticky feet? They're not sticky honest) and they are really gorgeous. They passed the slip test on the pavement outside my house which is like an ice rink, covered in leaves and wet. Obviously it'll take a while to work out how hard wearing they are but the soles are seriously heavy crepe.
