Made a mistake when I returned an order to a Schuh store- Help!

I ordered a pair of shoes online from Schuh and a couple of days ago returned them to one of their shops. The cashier asked me if I had the card I paid with and I just handed over my card without thinking(she said the card didn't come up on her computer so she couldn't check). I have just remembered that I actually paid with paypal! Arse.
Have I just send a hundred quid into the ether never to be seen again?

No it will have been refunded onto the card. Do you use online banking so can check?

No you should have the money paid back onto that card in a separate transaction
Call you card company or check online tomorrow. Do you still have the receipt? You would be able to sort any problem out if there was one if you still have it

I have had refunds paid back onto another card when I have either forgotten
To bring the original or handed over wrong one by mistake

Nothing in my account yet. have to call their customer services tomorrow. Still have the receipt(thank God for my permanently messy bag!)
