No, they are awesome...

tethersend · 25/10/2012 18:30

I started a thread about them recently, that's how disgusted I was Grin

They were the ones with a hidden wedge- that's right, all the comfort of a wedge with the stylish look of a flat trainer. Er... What?

Karbea · 25/10/2012 18:35

For someone who is 5ft tall I think they are amazing!

Caerlaverock · 25/10/2012 18:44

I think the majority aren't nice but some are. If I wear flat trainers I feel like my feet look too big like I'm an L shape if I stand to the side as I have skinny ankles. I tried on <a class="break-all" href="//www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=4.bp.blogspot.com/-RNgZwQnIZkY/TxyT5JgIAkI/AAAAAAAAAJQ/5oj_n-7ivwk/s1600/aldo_netz.jpg&imgrefurl=sf-smile-or-die.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html&h=1481&w=1481&sz=284&tbnid=7d0166U-MJVMnM:&tbnh=111&tbnw=111&prev=/search%3Fq%3Daldo%2Bhidden%2Bwedge%2Bsneaker%26tbm%3Disch%26tbo%3Du&zoom=1&q=aldo+hidden+wedge+sneaker&usg=__PX_aSBpP0QJEDIaH5K94gC7B1Zk=&docid=c3u3MJ-cMotoXM&sa=X&ei=-oWJULu5OoWH0AWQk4CgBQ&ved=0CDUQ9QEwAw&dur=2130" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">these and I felt like they looked more flattering to my feet and legs and they were comfy. Although, looking at the picture now I do think they look pretty strange, and are sure to date quite quickly I think?

tethersend · 25/10/2012 19:37

But why not just wear heeled or wedge boots?

Isn't the point of trainers to be comfortable?

Oh no no no Grin
They are great but I think you need to invest as the cheaper copies I have seen are far from lovely.
perhaps it is because I am 5ft Wink

noddyholder · 25/10/2012 19:56

Not keen but are everywhere where I live but mainly teenagers who can wear most things

Hatewashing · 25/10/2012 20:11

I love them, probably because I am 4'11 tho.

TheCraicDealer · 25/10/2012 21:29

These are the latest effort from the designer who "created" the wedge trainer. I love how they have tried to extend the trend into winter and inadvertently make a pair of hooves perfect for a Daisy the Cow costume instead.

lurkingaround · 25/10/2012 21:50

Grin TheCraicDealer! They are hilarious!! Made my night! Daisy the cow costume indeed.
In 10 years time, those will definitely be looked back at in horror!

PerryCombover · 25/10/2012 23:01

I have some
Those ugg looking ones are dire though

DameFannyGallopsAtaGhost · 25/10/2012 23:05

oh that link's baaad.

wedges on closed shoes or boots are wrong anyway, unless you specifically want to look like you're correcting 2 club feet

I don't mind a wedge, but trainers (wedge or otherwise) are too sporty-looking for me. They just don't suit my look.

But I have seem them looking good on other people.

alwaysrunninginheels · 26/10/2012 06:21

I love mine. And have done for over 2 years. Love love love em!!!! And have more than one pair.....he he he!

NettoSpookerstar · 26/10/2012 09:12

I have a pair, I really like them.

SaraBellumHertz · 26/10/2012 09:54

Prefer wedge trainers over wedged boots

pumpkinsweetie · 26/10/2012 09:57

I like the look of them, but i wear trainers to be comfy and for me they'd be too painful for everyday wear and not dressy enough for going out so tbh i cannot see the point in their creation.
But then again i'm a daily heel wimpGrin

Bunbaker · 26/10/2012 09:58

IMO heels on trainers and wellies are just wrong. But that is just my personal opinion.
