Is this really the new in thing?

I think I may just be downright utterly unstylish...is Asos really trying to sell a jumper with a giant hole at the hip and calling it 'distressed'...here really?

I've been looking for cream jumpers, I'm going to give up now.

I was fine with the eighties style torn jeans...but jumpers? In this weather??? No, just no.

Hahaha! That's hideous! 'Distressed detail'?! It's an effing great hole!

Old gimmer at 33

NettoSpookerstar · 25/10/2012 08:32

Huh, how odd Hmm

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 25/10/2012 08:33

oh that is horrid. Looks ready for the bin!

TequilaMockinBird · 25/10/2012 08:35

Confused £125 for a jumper with a bloody great big hole in?

SunshineOutdoors · 25/10/2012 08:43

Yeah, I don't get it. Officially old.

addictedisback · 25/10/2012 08:43

Did someone have an accident while making it and think, ah well we'll sell it as distressed!
That's definitely a hole, not just distressed, a hole.

worldgonecrazy · 25/10/2012 08:44

There's a reason it's been reduced.

mignonette · 25/10/2012 08:44

My DH and every other man in my family are leaders of style then...

Zwitterion · 25/10/2012 08:46

Ha ha clicked on the link thinking it might be 'artfully distressed' with laddering in the pattern for example, but it's hideous.

And 50% acrylic. For that money I'd want a 100% cashmere hole thank you very much.

iloveeverton · 25/10/2012 08:59

Thats so funny!

I have this- its quite slouchy but I've worn it loads cream jumper

mutny · 25/10/2012 09:06

If it didn't have to hole it would be lovely, what a shame. It looks shit.

mignonette · 25/10/2012 09:10

The tale of The Emperors New Clothes can often be applied to Fashion. This is just one of those moments. Another would be this -

style.uk.msn.com/fashion-week/london-fashion-week-frow-day-two

Even the fashion editors were stunned into silence by this....

Sleepthief · 25/10/2012 09:10

My cousin will be gutted - she's just thrown out a load of jumpers after a moth infestation! Grin

iWILLdothis · 25/10/2012 09:41

A real bargain at only £125.....RRP £315!

pictish · 25/10/2012 09:46

Ummm...what??!! Hmm

Bizarre!

MurderOfGoths · 25/10/2012 09:55

Oh dear... how much of a sucker would you have to be to buy that?!

Biggem · 25/10/2012 09:57

Did you see the original retail price?! Hilarious

PerryCombover · 25/10/2012 10:03

arf

CarpeThingy · 25/10/2012 10:04

I fully support this trend. It means I don't have to spend any money at all on clothes this winter Grin. In fact, I may be able to sell a few.

What a lovely jumper. Don't you agree?

HeftyHeifer · 25/10/2012 11:14

'distressed detailing' my arse...it's the ones they've fucked up in the factory..

fuzzywuzzy · 25/10/2012 11:33

Well that is a relief, I thought I was going mad, can you even imagine attmepting to wash it, it would come out of the machine as a giant tangled ball of yarn.

Iloveeverton thank you for the link, I shall go to DP at lunchtime and have a look.

mignonette Viv Westwood looks fab for her age though, isn't she 70 or thereabouts?
