Peep toes and tights/stockings - yay or nay?

Sorry, I know this has probably been done a million times but hope you don't all mind giving your opinions again.

I'm going to a vv glam casino style thang on Saturday, I have a lovely silk dress, blingy jewels, up do hair and some black peep toes. Should I break out the fake tan or put some sheer stockings on?

There's a woman I work with who does the tights and peep toes all the time. It is awful. I hate it. So it's a Sally Hansen or fake tan from me. But, hey, wait for others' advice, I don't know much.

I love it! But probs more with fishnets or similar to make a statement rather than nude tights..

So do M and S but I'm never quite sure they work.
I'd go fake tan or fishnets.

The M&S autograph tights with an open toe are great! Fishnets (nude or black) are really elegant. Please, please whatever you do, do not wear closed toe tights... It really is awful...

Not American tan tights. Opaques are ok.

Does the fishnet pattern go right to the toes or do some of them have a closed toe look?

If the fishnet tights have a closed toe, do make sure you move the closed toe under your foot so that it doesn't show.

The M&S nude peep toe ones are great. You can show off nice pedicure too.
They do look really weird before you put your shoes on though, be warned.

Gosh, fishnets - hadn't even considered that option. And the fishnet bit on the toe looks ok does it? And would fishnets go with a silk dress (rather than a belt-length mini ).

The M&S/JL ones are an option, but I think wearing tights with no toes in shoes with no toes might weird me out a bit. The peep bit of the peep toe is quite small if that makes a difference?
