I know Remus , they are tricky to find aren't they?!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 24/10/2012 18:48

Unless you can afford to spend a fortune in Hobbs and get it shortened and pay for dry cleaning.... :(

bishboschone · 24/10/2012 18:55

I know it's not silk but its £26 ! Worth a look?

ineedsomepeaceandquiet · 24/10/2012 21:26

Looks like a Natwest uniform on me Grin

TitWillow · 24/10/2012 21:31

I'm wearing the dress as we speak, and it is a little tight around the waist. But I'm an hour glass-ish size 16, and have had many compliments while wearing it.

CointreauVersial · 24/10/2012 21:31

I phoned Marks and got the 25% off over the phone. They are delivering to store on Friday, so I'll report back then. I'm thinking it will be nice with a cardi and boots for work.

I hope it's not too tight around the waist; M&S 10s are normally OK, so fingers crossed.

CointreauVersial · 26/10/2012 16:27

I ordered the dress in a size 10, about 30 seconds before reading the comments about sizing up because it is tight around the waist.

It arrived today and, guess what? It's too tight around the waist. Boo.

Nice, though.

I don't know why I didn't order 10 and 12 in the first place.

dexter73 · 26/10/2012 16:44

Oh sorry to hear that CV Sad Usually M&S stuff is so big!

bishboschone · 26/10/2012 16:59

I went to pick mine up today first thing and it wasn't in .grr. I wonder if it will fit me now .. My waist is 25/26 inches . Do you think the 8 will fit me??

bishboschone · 26/10/2012 16:59

Marks always comes up big doesn't it??

Megatron · 26/10/2012 17:07

What ankle boots would you wear with it?

CointreauVersial · 26/10/2012 17:33

Yes, generally M&S comes up fairly big, and I don't usually have any trouble with a size 10.

It did up at the waist, but it just felt "uncomfortable" iykwim.

Annoyingly, the little 25% off banner has disappeared from the website, so if I re-order, it will be full price.

CointreauVersial · 26/10/2012 17:35

Megatron, I would probably wear it with my black Top Shop Mightys, or if I wore it to work I would probably wear it with some knee-high boots which are a little smarter.

Clure · 26/10/2012 17:42

Does it flare out a lot? It looks like it does in the picture. I love the pattern and also love the fact that its a fitted waist. I am a size 6 and 5'1 and just wondered how long it would be. Not sure if it would swamp me.

Megatron · 26/10/2012 17:42

these? Cointreau? I really like them!

BieneMaja · 26/10/2012 17:48

I ordered it in a 10 and a 12 and the 10 fits me, though it is definitely small on the waist compared to usual M&S 10s!

I got the 25% off too, I'll be taking the 12 back on Monday.

I actually ordered it to wear to a party, but its prob more worky.

clure I'm 5'2 (and a half Smile) and the length is fine, probably very slightly longer on me than on the model, but no where near my knees... Doesn't flare out a lot on me, though I do have a big butt so that might be why!

I'm toying with wearing it to the party anyway as it's really cute...

dexter73 · 26/10/2012 18:24

BieneMaja - maybe you could send your 12 to CointreauVersial?

bishboschone · 28/10/2012 12:01

Update ... I got the size 8 and it fits fine , possibly a little big . It doesn't sit quite right at the back though so I'm talking it back . Shame I do like it . Would probably keep if it was blue , I do find black hard to wear being blonde .

CointreauVersial · 28/10/2012 16:25

Yes, Megatron, those are the boots. Inexpensive and very comfortable. I wish I'd bought the brown too.

I've now ordered the owl dress in a 12 (not being as organised as Bienemaja), so fingers crossed it will be waiting for me when I get home later in the week. Although after a week of eating chips in Ireland I might be needing the 14.....

Size 8 too big, eh, bishbosch? Envy

bishboschone · 28/10/2012 16:55

Lol.. I'm only 5 ft though ..

CointreauVersial · 29/10/2012 20:51

Shortarse.....Wink

101handbags · 30/10/2012 10:10

I ordered a 10, 12 & 14 (to be on the safe side...), went to pick them up & try on in M & S last night. I am usually a size 10 - 12 and the 10 fitted BUT I am 5' 8" and it was just far too short for me. It looked too 'teenagerish' on me. Plus I do have a bust (not huge, but enough!) and it wasn't flattering on the top half. It is a nice dress though, good quality and I loved the pattern. I would say if you are under 5'4" and have a small-ish bust then it will suit you. Just not for me, but am glad I tried it.

fromparistoberlin · 30/10/2012 11:47

its a bit blah? whats all the fuss (as owl mummy said...)

dexter73 · 30/10/2012 15:47
