Anyone used this site?

my mum is looking for woollen jumpers that have no man made fibres at all and came upon this.

Is it any good? whats the quality like? and delivery times (specifically to the far flung places of the UK - Northern ireland)

Thanks

Ha, I read that as 'woo lovers' Grin Sorry, not helpful.

i've bought 3 things from them fairly recently and very pleased with quality. quality is as good as boden/john lewis things i've bought. someone commented on here a while back about some of the colours being a bit garish and pink is definately bright. so if i had any reservation it would be that i don't like some of the colours - but then i don't like a load of the boden ones at the moment either. i'm a 14 and medium fits nicely - i like things fairly snug - but they have measurements so you can gauge which size you need

BloooCowWonders · 23/10/2012 11:19

I've found the quality excellent. I have both cotton and wool, and dh has had several.

But, and this is probably a big but... I've only ever bought in person. They pitch up at our town hall and sell off the back of a lorry. Well, not quite, but I love a bargain.
Can't help with delivery but I think the quality is great.

I've got a couple of cardis - it's SO difficult to find proper wool cardis on the high street! They're good for the price i'd say - far better for the price than anywhere else i know of if it's wool you want.

I Live in far flung N IrelandGrin and ordered from them at the end of last week. Items arrived yesterday morning. Quality looks good. I ordered a timeless crew Cardigan in cashmere & merino. I was somehow expecting it to feel softer, it is a little scratchier than I would have liked but it will be fine. I am usually a 12 so ordered a medium, but it is too big, I would like it more fitted, so am sending it back for the smaller size. Hope it is not too small. Pity they don't do free returns Sad But maybe I should have taken the time to look properly at the size chartBlush
I ordered DH a zip neck jumper and he is very happy with it. Obviously it is too early for me to comment on wear & washing but it seems to me that it's a good site and I will be recommending it to my family too. I think they sent me a discount code... if you're interested I could find it...

Yes, navy slouch polo here - lovely, good quality dye. Sizes seem big.

ChablisLover · 23/10/2012 12:11

Iwill - a discount code would be great. I could even treat my mum for christmas.

I say far flung Northern ireland as I was looking at a pair of boots online and delivery by Royal Mail was £6.95 but surprisingly when I entered the postcode this leapt to £12 so needless to say they lost that business!

Was the delivery the same price? I noticed it was free for orders over £95.

I've got a couple of really nice weekend jumpers from Woolovers. Some of their things are a bit unremarkable, but there's treasure to be found if you sift through the dregs. I've just ordered www.woolovers.com/lambswool/womens/fair-isle-cardigan.aspx

Seems you are already convinced, but yes they are good quality, good service, well-priced. Derserve a higher profile. Only thing is that their smallest size is rather too big for me (I'm a runty little 5ft size 6-8 though). And the cashmere blend is not quite as cashmere-y as I had hoped.

ChablisLover · 23/10/2012 21:01

Will wait and see

I am not a lambs wool fan - too itchy so may start with the cashmere mix or merino

Liking the look of the slouchy polo neck

I ordered a tie front cardy from them last year, it looked lovely and had compliments wearing it. But after only a few wears it was very bobbly, they refunded me, no quibbles.
