Arf at SuePurbyBilt - "dust sheets on a grand piano" Grin

I have a nice wool-mix one I bought at Primark a couple of years back. It's chunky, grey and very cosy, but a bit too big. I'm planning to boil-wash it to induce a bit of shrinkage.

But they are a pain if you like to carry your bag on your shoulder.

And must be worn with a sleek bottom half or you risk adding about two stone.

noddyholder · 23/10/2012 13:38

Yes the handbag thing is an issue!

kissyfur · 23/10/2012 13:44

Am very tempted by the Next one Smile

PerryCombover · 23/10/2012 14:38

I think they are only for gunslingers but...
I saw this and was a little in love
And also this when it comes in in black

MissPerception · 23/10/2012 15:27

I don't like those with sleeves. They are neither one thing or another.

I'm quite a poncho fan and this is my current favourite www.etsy.com/listing/97744444/electric-blue-cashmere-and-silk-poncho?ref=pr_shop

I have this one in two different colours. They are lovely and roll up in to a little pile to go in to my handbag for when I don't need them.

MissPerception · 23/10/2012 15:28

www.etsy.com/listing/84041817/cashmere-and-silk-arm-warmers?ref=correlated_featured and they are cashmere and silk, for that price!

minicc · 23/10/2012 18:53

I heart my poncho, twas perfect for big bump warming last winter. Of course, now I have rock hard abs (!) will need to find another way of keeping warm.

IfYoureHappyAndYouKnowIt · 23/10/2012 22:28

How long have you had the Etsy ones for? Just wondering how long lasting they would be? Do you know if they would do returns also?

cocolepew · 23/10/2012 22:33

I got one a couple of years ago......from Tesco! It's a grey cable knit and is lovely . It's short and small, rather than a flowy one. I didn't wear it last year, I must dig it out again.

PerryCombover · 23/10/2012 22:57

Ah...so it looks Tesco!
( joking)

HardHittingLeafletCampaign · 23/10/2012 23:33

Whenever I wear one my DH'S shouts 'DRAW!' and makes 'gun fingers'...

HardHittingLeafletCampaign · 23/10/2012 23:33

Um that would be DH. Just have the one husband so far.

MissPerception · 24/10/2012 08:34

Ifyourhappy - I bought my first one about 2 years ago I think and my second one about 9 months ago. Both still look perfect and look very good quality.

Suttons is a family firm and I spoke with the woman who makes them. She's very approachable and friendly so I would think that returns might be possible - give her a call and ask.
