Skirt lining help please

I've just bought a couple of shortish pencil skirts off Ebay, and for some reason I can' seem to stop the linings from being visible when I'm stood up, which gets owrse when I sit down, unless I make a conscious effort to tug the skirt down as I sit. It's not been an issue before, the skirts are from Next so well made, they're in my size - any suggestions?

Just trim the lining a bit and you can re-hem. Use magic hem if you don't want to sew. It's probably being caused by static. The lining and or skirt fabric will have a poly fibre which is causing it. Also- are you were tights? That causes it too.

LadyMaryCreepyCrawly on MN is a dab hand at alterations - PM her.

I'm not sure it's being caused by my tights since it happens even when I've not got them on. It's almost like the lining's too long and although the skirt creases as I sit, the lining doesn't, or the skirt doesn't fall back to length when I stand and the lining does, IYSIM?
