which style exactly? Some of them look like they have a slit with the adjustable buckles so could quite well fit.

A friend has noticed this year that bootmakers are putting in segments in the top of the boot that stretch, iykwim, for the larger of calf. Which has caused nightmares for me, smaller calf with hoofers for feet. I must have tried 10 boots on in a store the other day and the pair I ended up with, I'm still not 100% about. grr
