please help with special boots request

My lovely and stylish friend has to wear an ankle brace due to arthritis. She longs to get nice shoes but can only wear ones that accommodate the brace.

Would you know where she could find nice boots, ideally knee or mid calf length, that would have a wide enough opening for the brace to fit? It's not enough to have a zip, they are usually still not wide enough for a brace :(

Would wide or extra wide fit boots work for her? I have no knowledge of arthritis but Evans and New Look both cater for chunkier calves (something I struggle with) so these may be wide enough for her?

Duo boots do several width fittings and go up to 50cm circumference, f that would work?
