Heels or flats for the rather fat ?

I live in pumps other flat boots and never wear trousers (long skirts are my friend !). I tried on a pair of heeled shoes today and closely resembled an ugly sister !! Am I stuck in a rut or do larger (size 20) women not suit heels ??

To be honest I think heels are fine on a larger lady as long as the heels are a little chunky or wedges are great. It's only stiletto's that look more spindly.

I stay in flats. My knees take enough of a battering without adding heels to it! Grin

I was about to say chunky wedges too. I am quite large up top, but have quite spindly legs and ankles, so I find that I need something chunky on my feet to balance me out iyswim.

Ah yes - chunkiness - good idea as spindles (good description!) also look odd on me. Boots with a decent chunk I think ..? Might try wedges too but loathe the crammed in foot look ( Im so attractive)
