Peplum tops

Am I the only person who thinks they are horrific? In a busy town today and they are everywhere. Usually with leggings. Am I hopelessly out of touch?

My dd has one and it looks really good on her. She is only 15 however, so looks good in most things !

I think they are the preserve of the very young.
I am 5ft and very slight at a size 6. I put one of these peplums on and look the size of a small hotel!

What are they?

I tried one on in Zara. I am 39 and curvy. What a sight.... Some good came of it- I've stuck to my diet ever since.

I had never heard of them until now, but they look like they're designed to make your hips look huge....

They are comically hideous.

A top with a built in shelf to put your glass of vino on. Er, no thanks.

I mean what in the name of all that is holy is going on here? She's not a big lass but the waist of that top looks like it's just under her flippin armpits.

Oh dear.
I'd look huge if I wore that, and I'm a size 8.
