And please ignore the insane price.

That is lovely - I would wear it over a shirt with jeans, or a dress. Bit surprised they are trying to sell a 50% acrylic cardy for that much though.

SalmonRusty · 20/10/2012 15:33

Over a shirt with jeans is a good idea. I'm so unimaginative at putting outfits together and I usually hate cardis - I seem to choose ones that look so floppy and meh. But I really like the style of this one.

I love a nice cardy!

SalmonRusty · 20/10/2012 15:38

Where do you get yours from Dexter? I wear short dresses all the time (because I'm so rubbish at separates!) and would like to be able to wear my sleeveless ones in winter with a chunky warm cardigan over them.

Anywhere really - mostly Uniqlo, Zara, Gap and Brora.

nickeldaisical · 20/10/2012 15:44

black skirt, knee length, pencil.
(underneath just a vest top)
black tights
tan knee boots. (or black if you daren't do tan)

nickeldaisical · 20/10/2012 15:44

I love cardies too.. i normally get mine from Zara, but they're usually plain.
:)

Frontpaw · 20/10/2012 15:48

Probably nothing as I couldn't afford anything else!

Slim fit jeans, or over a mini(ish) skirt with heavy tights and brogues. Or moleskin trousers (I looooove moleskin, o moley moley).

SalmonRusty · 20/10/2012 15:49

Yeah, I'm not going to get that one, especially as it's half acrylic. But I want one like it!

Ooh, I can definitley see it with brogues Frontpaw :)

Thank you, you are all helping me get over my cardi phobia!

That's lovely Op.
I'd wear it with a shortish skirt and wooly tights too. With a vest top underneath.
It's sooo expensive though.

runmumrun · 20/10/2012 15:53

Oooh like that very much! Think I'd wear it with skinnies or velvet crops (someone posted a link to a pair of v nice Next trousers the other day). Were I younger I'd also try it with pretty scarf rolled at the neck/shorts/opaque tights/brogues... but the spectre of mutton-lamb glares at me every time I open the wardrobe these days.

Frontpaw · 20/10/2012 15:58

I like cardis... Great for layering in this weird weather!

Frontpaw · 20/10/2012 16:00

If you can get over the name, M+S are doing really comfy jeggings in nice autumnal colours. They look like trousers- well they are really (flies and pockets).

mintymellons · 20/10/2012 16:03

Ah, I live in York where the Coggles shop is - they have some fabulous items in their window displays.

SalmonRusty · 20/10/2012 16:06

I live just outside York minty. For some reason I hadn't connected the website with the shop. D'oh!

OP posts:
SalmonRusty · 20/10/2012 16:10

Would it be totally boring and pointless to wear it with indigo skinny jeans and a naice vest top?

OP posts:
SalmonRusty · 20/10/2012 16:13

And I have another question - would that green go with navy?

OP posts:
LadyBeagleEyes · 20/10/2012 16:16

Yes to skinnies.
And yes to navy too.

SalmonRusty · 20/10/2012 17:06

Good! Then I am in the market for a forest green cable cardi Grin

A line or pencil knee length tweedy or plaid skirt, opaque tights that pick up another colour line in the tweed, tan slouchy knee boots, well starched stiff collared white shirt, tan leather satchel.
