Is she seriously hoping for customers?!

Good thing eBay isn't like blogs and you don't know where all the hits come from, otherwise that poor lady might come on and see you sneering at her. Pathetic.

ginmakesitallok · 20/10/2012 20:40

Very mean - Headline "Normal woman sells clothes, doen't look like a supermodel". Shitty thing to be bitchy about.

cynister · 20/10/2012 20:42

I find this incredibly rude, Op. Are you trying to make yourself feel better by having a laugh at another's expense? Very mean spirited..

Frontpaw · 20/10/2012 22:51

I think we're missing something. Maybe the OP knows the seller? I've seen far worse sights on ebay - wouldn't have looked twice at this one though.

CountryBelle · 20/10/2012 23:15

I dont see anything wrong with her or the clothes!

Too many people just love to sneer and put others down.

Devora · 20/10/2012 23:20

What a horrible thread.

LettyAshton · 21/10/2012 12:01

I'm OP. I didn't mean to be so mean, actually. It's just that I've never seen anyone model their own clothes before and it struck me as quite bizarre. If you don't like the garments and presumably don't think they suit you, then why on earth advertise the fact?

I recently sold a BNWT skirt which dh bought me that made me look like mutton dressed up as lamb. On someone 20 years younger and with a considerably smaller waist it would have been great, but I would have put people right off if I had been standing there in it. Clothes photographed on floorboards here!

Don't worry OP, too many people apparently love to sneer and put others down and be rude to people - see above comments about you Wink

Luckily most of us are capable of spotting a light-hearted OP or ignoring it rather than pile in and bash the OPSmile

Outrage is a national passtime (how else would the Daily Mail survive?)

SuePurblybilt · 21/10/2012 12:36

I geddit OP, they were particularly odd pics.
I also cringe a bit at people wearing shoes they're selling. Yes - I'm buying second hand shoes, No - I don't want to think about it too much. They're not improved much by seeing them 'on', shoes and boots, so I do wonder why people do it.

My absolute faves are when someone cba to take actual photos so bungs up some random pic of themselves at Alton Towers, just cos they were wearing the jumper in the listing. I linked to one once (sadly lost to Chat) that had a woman, her Dad and assorted family collapsed around a sitting room, surrounded by Christmas sweets and looking very rough. Can't imagine why the jumper dress she was selling, that looked as if she'd got egg down her tit, didn't start a bidding war.

50shadesofmeh · 21/10/2012 18:01

I'm really upset people are laughing at my eBay listings :-(

MurderOfGoths · 21/10/2012 21:05

I actually saw some stats before about clothes being sold on ebay, it seems that listings with photos of someone wearing the clothes tend to sell better than listings where the clothes were laid out flat or on hangers. So not odd at all. And she's hardly got the worst figure in the world.

Wheresmypopcorn · 22/10/2012 01:04

What's wrong with that? I am not sure it deserves someone being nasty about her effort.

ike1 · 22/10/2012 01:14

i can believe that lady probs is a size 10. It just goes to show that models really are freaks of nature. Most of us prob look like her in our clothes (if we are lucky). That green blouse does nothing for anyone with any form of norkage tho!
