Clothes for a wedding

Please help? I have a winter wedding to attend in December and cannot for the life of me decide or find what to wear.
I am a size 18/20 with little norkage and bloody hate heels.
Bit punk/alternative and very fond of black (but not sure for wedding??)
Gah. Lost cause?

But they are hush puppies, so more likely to stay on?

Bit too glitzy perhaps?? :o But red, xmasy etc. On the maybe list :)

ankle strap
too weird?

Fab dress! I also love the clingy Phase Eight one - may have to get that one myself!

Farely, I like the black Shuh ones you linked to a couple of posts above, think they would look great with the dress. Not too keen on the red ones, they look a bit drab? Also what colour tights would you wear with them?

notMarlene · 18/10/2012 20:39

THe weird ones are great but hte others look like something DD would want tp wear Wink Weird again

If you do red shoes what will you do about a cover-up? TBH I'd be tempted to go with black shoes just for the ease of it. But, a multicoloured bag maybe along the lines of this, this, this or this would let you have red shoes, a pashmina in one of other colours. Colour matching is a nightmare and definitely not possible online - the shade of red of the shoes vs the red on the dress isn't really an issue but any other item would be hellish, you'd have to match the shoes properly and then get anything else you wanted in red matched properly too...

like the HH ones too

FarelyKnuts · 18/10/2012 21:22

Ooh now those Kurt ones are nice NotMarlene :)
I get your point about the kiddy shoes :o

Seamed stockings or fishnets?

FarelyKnuts · 18/10/2012 21:25

Oh and a coverup. For the middle of winter it would want to be a great big bloody coat :o

OP posts:
notMarlene · 18/10/2012 21:26

Yeah, for outside Grin but surely you'll need something for inside too?

FarelyKnuts · 18/10/2012 21:26

Seamed might be better than fishnets for a wedding?

OP posts:
FarelyKnuts · 18/10/2012 21:27

:o True. short sleeved short cardi might suit the whole vintage look?

OP posts:
notMarlene · 18/10/2012 21:28

nude fishnets aren't at all racey IMO, but I love seamed. Take a good bit of practice though and the seams do need to be straight.

notMarlene · 18/10/2012 21:29

Yup, that or a pashmina. Cardy and no hat could be frumpy with black.

FarelyKnuts · 18/10/2012 21:30

Am thinking hard about that pillbox with the roses.

OP posts:
notMarlene · 18/10/2012 21:35

Think harder! It's a thing of beauty!

FarelyKnuts · 18/10/2012 21:37

:o

FarelyKnuts · 18/10/2012 21:39

A £75 thing of beauty!

OP posts:
notMarlene · 18/10/2012 21:40

Love this too but it might reflect the KurtGeiger shoes too closely, or maybe not.

notMarlene · 18/10/2012 21:40

Yeah, but the dress is 30 quid. It's nowt.

notMarlene · 18/10/2012 21:41

this tied in with the right bag?

notMarlene · 18/10/2012 21:52

one last one

FarelyKnuts · 18/10/2012 22:36

That last one is gorgeous. Not fond of the first two
