boden sizing

aladdinsane · 16/10/2012 18:09

I am a size 14 and have a fairly broad back. Joules and zara are both too skinny on the arms and narrow in the back
I have seen a boden jacket I like but hate the hassle of returning items
Can anyone tell me what boden are like on their cut/sizing
Thanks

Only my own experience, but stuff seems to run big.
Even the style adviser - which knows my height and measurements - recommends clothes for me which are actually too large.
I recently got the Stockholm coat in a size 6 and it buries me, and I am, in reality, a UK8/10.
A few of their jumpers also run big for me, too.

I do have mad narrow shoulders though, so perhaps this doesn't help.

Stuff seems to run big - but I think they design for pear shapes. I find in dresses that they are tight around the bust, neat on the waist and big on the hips/legs

I agree with QueenBee. I'm a large hourglass, but with a big bust, and their things are sometimes too snug on bust and shoulders but big on hips and baggy on legs.

Their sizing does vary though. The reviews on the site are usually a reliable source of info on sizing of individual items.

I wanted to ask about this - I'm an hourglass with a massive arse and when I read the size chart in the catalogue today I am a size "4", however I have a skirt in a size "3" which is hanging off me and would look much better in a 1/2.

Now I get vanity sizing - but why advertise something as being e.g., 40" when in reality it's 46"?
