Converse. I have some straight leg jeans which are fairly skinny so I tuck those into calf length boots.

DontCallMeBaby · 14/10/2012 20:55

Converse here too. Ballet flats, but not in the current weather. These are my latest solution: www.zalando.co.uk/dr-martens-elevate-mandy-lace-up-shoes-blue-do211a00j-101.html

Am also considering brogues.

I am no style fashionista at all but this is what i wear....

ankle pixie boots www.clarks.co.uk/p/20350680,
converse,
wedges from Ash www.ashfootwear.co.uk/womens-c1/sports-c21/ash-genial-perkish-leather-low-wedge-trainers-p572

THanks all. Been wearing them happily with converse dance or ballet flats all summer but it's too cold now! Would love to wear them with boots but not sure how!

Just marking my place on this thread as I have the same problem.

spottybag · 14/10/2012 21:44

Would they work tucked in to something like this ?

OP posts:
DontCallMeBaby · 14/10/2012 21:47

Depends on width of boot and jeans - I don't wear my straight legs with my biker boots cos they're pretty much the same width as each other so the jeans look crap tucked in AND crap not tucked in. They also ride up and get stuck there.

Tuttutitlookslikerain · 14/10/2012 21:48

I wear brogues with mine.

Thanks.

I really don't like brogues :(

I'm really stuck over what to wear this winter - have skinnies and long boots from last year but I don't really like my thighs in skinnies.

I just wear mine with my ankle boots but I don 't tuck them in. It's probably a really unfashionable look, I've just never really thought about it before.

spottybag · 14/10/2012 22:04

I've had to do that too, whistlestop, though I think it looks quite mumsy on me
:(

Am tempted to order these as they're very cheap and look like they don't zip all the way up so could accommodate the jeans..

I think they'd work well spottybag. Great price.

friendlymum67 · 15/10/2012 18:32

I have this dilemma too - always wear flat pumps in the summer but too cold for that now. Not keen on converse. Confused

spottybag · 16/10/2012 11:55

i might just wear my long boots from last year, though I've heard that's not the done thing anymore. Sigh..

I wear wedge ankle boots from Fly London. Similar to these.

Apart from Converse these are the only things I have that go.

spottybag · 17/10/2012 18:34

I like those quenelle.

Right, I've ordered these in the end. I figure at that price I don't have to wear them if they look a total disaster!!
