and most definitely not acrylic which rules out 90% of the high street I've seen so far.

Anyone seen any nice wool or cashmere ones please?

I'm sure there are knitters on etsy who could rustle one up to your spec. Then even if it costs a bit, at least you know that the money has been well earned and the quality will be good.
